With the UK pound at a long-term low against the Euro and US dollar, Gunes Engine Valves of Konya, Turkey has taken the opportunity to build on their already impressive manufacturing facility, by investing in the latest VSG-X6 Valve Seat Grinding Machine from Earlsdon Technology in Coventry, England.
Mr.Mustafa Avci – Director of Gunes Engine Valves said “The Earlsdon Seat Grinder will help us to ensure that our customers are getting the very highest quality valves. This is our first machine from Earlsdon but we have already built up a very positive working relationship. We hope to buy more machines from them.”
The Machine was customized to suit Gunes requirements including: using a collet system already in use on other Gunes machines and having the operator control switchable from Turkish to English.
The latest VSG-X6 machines include some new Standard Features and Options including:
• Seat angles from 19 degrees to 46 degrees as standard.
• Servo-driven collet spindle with speed range up to 1200 rpm.
• Roller bearing slideways for improved stiffness.
• Additional slideway seals and covers.
• Automatic measuring system for improved head thickness control.
• Kraft & Bauer automatic fire suppression system.
• Controlled shutdown in the event of a mains power failure.
